This week ahead is not going to look too good overall. The cold front that moved through will remained stalled to our south all week long and tropical moisture will be saturating the Eastern US all week. This means the chance for showers or even thunderstorms every day next week. There will be some that move through tonight. Monday showers will probably be minimal with some breaks of sunshine developing and temperatures back into the 70s. The threat for showers and thunderstorms will be picking up again later Tuesday. On and off showers will be there Wednesday through Friday.
GFS FORECAST TUESDAY MAY 15, 2018
Late Tuesday might bring another round of severe weather for parts of the area depending on where the warm sector sets up. Of all the days this week Tuesday could be the one steamy day with temperatures reaching into the 80s. The frontal boundary stays close all week. Late this week the flow becomes more onshore which will probably cool it down late in the week. This is not going to be a nice week overall.
