Mostly Quiet Weather Week Weak Cold Fronts, Not Much Rain
We are in a relatively quiet weather pattern for this week. Weather systems are moving along from west to east along the Canadian border with a limited amount of moisture. This puts us in a world of warm fronts followed by cold fronts and where we chill down for a day or two and then warm up for a day or two. However we aren’t really going to stray too far from where temperatures should be for this time of year. Today we have another day where it should be no worse than partly sunny. A small high is in Southeastern Canada so we are going to be a little lower temperature wise today with most highs in the mid 50s and lower 60s from north to south. North of NYC some places will not get much above the lower 50s..

WEATHER RADAR
Radars are quiet however we see the first of two frontal systems approaching for tonight into Tuesday. A warm front will be setting up to our north and that means that much of the shower activity will move across Upstate NY and into Northern New England while the cold front will perhaps produce a shower or two. A few areas north of NYC will see a few showers overnight, and then the cold front passes through.
This leaves us with another day where it is no worse than partly sunny and breezy for the dayside Tuesday. A west and northwest wind will actually help to take temperatures higher Tuesday afternoon as highs reaching the mid to upper 60s and some warm spots might even break above 70 degrees.
Cooler air returns Tuesday night and high pressure builds into Southeastern Canada. This will be the in between day where cool air builds in. Temperatures Wednesday will be range from the upper 40s in the Hudson Valley and mostly low to middle 50s elsewhere. Southern New Jersey southward could see highs in the upper 50s. Again it will be no worse than partly sunny.
Thursday’s issue with temperatures will be the warm front and how it sets up. There could be a wide range in Temperatures Thursday with cloudy skies from Northeast Pennsylvania to the Hudson Valley and into New England. These areas will not get out of the 40s. Meanwhile in Southern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and points southward could see temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s with some sunshine in the mix.
Friday behind the cold front it will be significantly cooler and we will have clouds around with highs in the 50s. The front will stall to the south and there might be a bit of a wave on the front that will produce a few showers Friday night before it sinks further south. This will leave us with a nice dry but chilly weekend with some sunshine both Saturday and Sunday but highs probably in a range from the upper 40s to mid 50s both days. No major storms are on the horizon at this time.
