Our Rain Free Weekend Continues
Cold Fronts Passing Through During the Week
Our quiet weekend of weather continues today as we have high pressure to our north with no weather issues and the next cold front still another 2 days away. Yesterday we dealt with some patchy clouds that moved through from the west and we will likely see the same thing today though clouds might be a bit less. It should be no worse than partly sunny skies for today as high temperatures reach up into the low and middle 60s in most places. There are no rain issues as the radars will be nice and quiet today.

High pressure will find its way offshore tonight and Monday which turns the wind more to the south. We don’t see much in the way of moisture because the Atlantic Ocean is basically cut off as well as the Gulf of Mexico. Weather systems moving from west to east across Southern Canada this week will not be major rain producers. In fact they may struggle in producing rain as the fronts go by.
These leaves us with a week ahead that is mostly on the quiet side with sunshine or nor worse than partly sunny skies Monday. High temperatures Monday will be a little lower than today as highs will be in the mid 50s to around or just over 60 degrees.
Tuesday sees a cold front approach and move through later Tuesday with little in the way of moisture so other than some clouds and the outside chance for a sprinkle, it will pass through as mearly a wind shift line from southwest to northwest. Skies should be mostly cloudy to partly sunny. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday we see lower temperatures behind the cold front as a chilly high to the north builds southward into the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states but it is an in and out affair with weather systems moving along in the flow. Wednesday should be a sunny day with highs just in the low to mid 50s.
Wednesday night a warm front will approach from the southwest as low pressure moves across the Great Lakes and into Southeastern Canada. There might be a shower or two Wednesday night but the bulk of any rain goes well to the north. Thursday the cold front will approach and pass Thursday night with just some clouds, a wind shift from southwest to northwest. The day Thursday again will be no worse than partly sunny with highs in the 60s.
Another cool air mass builds in for Friday to finish off the week with sunshine and highs in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees or so. As of right now next weekend is looking dry in the wash rinse repeat pattern and no major storms are in sight over the next week to 10 days.
