Meteorologist APP Snowfall Forecast
The National Weather Service snowfall maps are updated now and most amounts have been edged higher. Also the cold air is more important so there will be some significant icing inland. Snow is now mixing with or changing to rain along the immediate south shore of Long Island and in Coastal New Jersey. The warm air will be slowly spreading inland. A gradual transition to freezing rain will occur inland and there could be .10 to .25 inches of ice in many areas. Everyone should be above 32 after midnight and before the Tuesday morning commute begins.
