March Lion Arrived Early
Outside of a few residual flood warnings that remain in several counties yesterday’s major storm continues to move northeastward into Eastern Canada. Winds today are howling from the southwest and west until another front passes through. Some scattered rain showers are possible today in a few places. This evening there could be a snow shower or two in some elevated areas north and northwest of the coast. But the worst of this storm is overwith. Gusts to 70 mph were reported across the region along with numerous reports of trees down, flooding, and other storm related damage.
Radars are showing the back side of the storm and snow in the snow belt areas are now getting underway. The air behind this storm is a little colder which will bring temperatures down to normal over the next 2 days. Today’s highs are in the 50s this morning and temperatures will being to ease some later this afternoon and evening.

Friday morning lows will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s as cold air returns Dry weather looks to take us through the weekend. Friday and Saturday’s highs will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s. By Sunday we wills start warming up with temperatures climbing through the 40s to perhaps near 50 in some areas. No big storms are on the horizon through early next week. Only a weak cold front is destined to move through here later on Monday. Temperatures ahead of it Monday could climb well into the 50s to near 60 in some places.
