Sunshine For Wednesday But Cool
The satellite loop this morning shows the cold front approaching and there is no sign of buckling on the front so it should keep on moving. Rain has been pretty steady and uniform in terms of amounts and everyone should finish up with about a half an inch of rain.
Satellite and radar loops this morning show everything pretty much progressing along as advertised yesterday. The back edge of the rain is approaching the coast. There is nothing in the atmosphere to slow things down. So look for weather conditions to improve from west to east this afternoon. The rain has ended in Northeast Pennsylvania and Northwest New Jersey and it is going to come to an end soon in New York City and the Hudson Valley around lunch time. Long Island and Coastal New Jersey will be the last to clear out. The HRRR forecast radar loop below pretty much shows how it will play out over the next 15 hours.

Skies will begin to clear out from west to east as well as we go through the afternoon. Clear skies are forecast tonight with lows in the 30s to near 40. Sunshine and cool for Wednesday with highs reaching into the 50s with a developing northeast wind. That wind direction will be a player all week at least through Friday. I still think the onshore flow will be there but not strong enough to cause problems other than clouds. At least that is the picture at the moment. That wind direction will keep things cool through the rest of the work week.
