With temperatures now at the highs of the day we are seeing some wide differences depending on where you are. Along the coast for example the ocean wind has swept inland and many areas are in the mid to upper 70s. Inland it is a different story with no such luck and highs topping in the low to middle 90s.

A quick check of local forecast offices shows that at least so far, no new records were set but they may be late in reporting. Severe weather is breaking out to our west as evidenced by the radar which shows very strong thunderstorms coming out of the midwes and moving east. This is with the next cold front that moves through here early Sunday morning.

Looking at our own radars other than the isolated downpour there isn’t much if anything going on. I would not expect anything to happen until after midnight until about daybreak.
No changes in the outlook for Sunday. Once the front clears out we should see decreasing clouds and increasing sunshine from west to east. Monday and Tuesday look good with sunshine and highs in the 70s to near 80. No widespread rain events are in the foreseeable future.
