HEAT HUMIDITY INTO FRIDAY NICE WARM WEEKEND
As we move toward the weekend we are seeing some heat and humidity in the picture this afternoon. Temperatures are in the mid to upper 80s across New Jersey while its in the low to mid 80s in the Hudson Valley and NYC, and in the mid to upper 70s across much of Long Island.

Satellite loops and local radars are showing some isolated showers and thunderstorms popping up. I don’t expect any widespread activity at all through tonight as the front coming through is weak. Other than a passing isolated thunderstorm it looks to stay rain free right through the weekend.
HEAT HUMIDITY RADAR LOOPS
With regards to Friday we will have this front pushing offshore. Look for partly sunny skies and a west wind. This will send temperatures into the low 90s especially away from the coast and near 90 along the shore. Cloud cover Friday could hold temperatures down. I didn’t think it was worth putting in a shower or thunderstorm in the forecast for Friday though I suppose an isolated cell is possible.

Saturday and Sunday look like 2 nice days with sunshine. Saturday will be a little warmer than Sunday with highs in the mid 80s to near 90. There will be more of an onshore flow on Sunday so that will probably keep temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
Next week looks quiet with warm and somewhat humid conditions for much of the week. Some days will be more humid than others. I don’t see anything exceptionally hot or humid. Some days we will have an onshore flow and that will hold temperatures down a bit. No rain is forecast at least through Wednesday unless an isolated shower or thunderstorm develops.
