Fronts Moving East Showers Thursday & Saturday

Some areas along the coast are having a bit of a tough time clearing out this morning but we should see some sunshine into early afternoon before clouds from the west begin to roll on in. That is due to the first of 2 cold fronts that we will be dealing with. Temperatures today will probably top out in the upper 40s to near 50 or so. The satellite loop already shows those close to the west moving into Western Pennsylvania so they should arrive on schedule this afternoon and thicken up by evening.

Nothing is showing up on radar so far today though by this evening areas to the west and southwest will likely start to see the first of the showers develop. They will head our way and move through before daybreak into midday. Later Thursday afternoon weather conditions may begin to slowly improve. Temperatures tonight will hold in the 40s and highs Thursday should reach the low to middle 50s.

FRONTS MOVING EAST NAM RAINFALL FORECAST THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING

Rainfall amounts from this don’t look like anything exceptional except that it may take longer for rain to get out of the way over areas to the east where three could be up to an inch or so in spots but most places will see anything from as little as a tenth of an inch to as much as a half an inch. The second front comes through on Saturday and with this it looks like the bulk of the rain goes by to our north.

Behind this front Sunday it will turn windy and cold with clouds and some breaks of sun and there could be some snow showers running around in the afternoon as an upper air disturbance swings through. Temperatures will probably settle into the lower 40s. Then we move along to Thanksgiving week which looks to be on the chilly side much (but not all) of the time. We still are not very impressed with the so called chance for snow later next week. We will address this issue later today but overnight models were not showing anything of consequence next week.
