Frigid Cold & Wicked Wind Chills
No doubt it is frigid cold out side & wicked wind chills down near zero and below overnight. Skies have cleared out. Temperatures around the area this evening are already dropping through the teens and we still have winds gusting to 30 to 40 mph at times. Those winds will drop some overnight but there will still be a breeze giving you that extra added chill.
Temperatures tonight will drop to the low teens and single digits by morning. High wind warnings remain in effect for parts of the area but those warnings will probably come down at some point later tonight.
FRIGID COLD FRIDAY MORNING FORECAST LOWS
Radars are quiet except for some lake effect snows still going on off Lake Ontario into upstate NY. These snow showers and squalls will wind down shortly.
Friday will be cold but quiet with sunshine giving way to arriving clouds and highs will reach into the 20s. The highs of the day will be reached closer to midnight as temperatures Friday night hold steady until the snow arrives after midnight
Saturday morning we will see snow that will begin to change over to sleet freezing rain and rain (depending on where you are between 7am and 10am). Temperatures are headed to the 40s and even near 50 in some places by midnight Saturday night. Then a cold front comes through Sunday with rain behind it and slowly falling temperatures. The rain ends by evening perhaps as a little snow or sleet but nothing of consequence.
