Some Snow Inland Thursday Morning
Freeze Warnings are up over a large area from South Central & Southeastern Pennsylvania northeast to Southern New England for Wednesday morning. Lows by morning will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s over a large area.
Wednesday will be a nice sunny day with clouds coming in from the west very late in the afternoon. Many areas will be hard pressed to get out of the 40s.
After reviewing the mid cycle model runs I am making no major changes with regards to snow expectations or amounts for Thursday. This will be a quick shot inland before it all goes to rain.
The latest GFS snowfall forecast map through Friday morning shows some heavy snows up in the Adirondaks on the order of 6 inches or more. Downstate there could be some 2 to 4 inch amounts in the higher elevations of the Catskills.
