We have a freeze warning in effect tonight for Northern and Northwest New Jersey and the Hudson Valley north of 287. Temperatures overnight will drop below freezing for a few hours around daybreak. The growing season has begun in these areas so tender plants are at risk tonight. Temperatures will rebound into the 50s on Wednesday with a good deal of sunshine.

Temperatures along coastal areas including Long Island will remain above freezing tonight. We might see another night of cold temperatures Wednesday night inland. Dry weather will be with us the rest of the week and into the weekend.
