FiOS1 News Weather Forecast Long Island
There weather issues today other than passing clouds that will be going through and you can see the real time satellite loop and radars below. There really isn’t too much going on as high pressure begins to move rebuild north and northeast of us. Temperatures this morning bottomed in the 20s and even some upper teens in the coldest spots in the Hudson Valley and New Jersey while most Long Island lows were in the 20s. Highs will be in the 40s today over most of the area.
Radars to the west of us are also quiet as well. Tonight will be another cold night with clear skies. Lows again will be below freezing and some places with clear skies and calm winds will see temperatures in the 20s again. However on Wednesday we will have plenty of sun and temperatures will rebound back into the 50s. If you are travelling for your Thanksgiving holiday the weather across much of the nation especially east of the rockies is calm and quiet. There should no weather related problems with driving or flying to your destination. Traffic and airport delays are another matter beyond my control.
Here is the latest FiOS1 News weather forecast and broadcast with Meteorologist Brian Fitzgerald. I will be on tonight with the latest forecasts beginning at 5pm
Thanksgiving day may bring some clouds with a bit of an onshore flow but temperatures will be in the 50s to around 60. The next cold front approaches on Friday with some clouds ahead of it and temperatures into the 60s. Showers with the front should be few and far between. Behind the front it will be chilly but not overly cold with dry weather conditions through Sunday.
