Happy Easter Sunday to all and when you wake up to temperatures in the 60s on a mid April morning you know it is going to be warm. For most we are already above what is the average daytime high this time of year. There isn’t anything to stop temperatures from climbing into the 80s except for perhaps south facing shorelines with the wind of the cold water will probably keep it about 20 degrees cooler.

There should be a fair amount of sunshine. Late this afternoon and this evening a cold front will be approaching and there might be a shower or thunderstorm in some places. The HRRR model does show a line approaching the coast after 8pm but the line does weaken as it moves southeast.

Until then the satellite loop would suggest some sunshine though a few scattered showers are showing up on the radar this morning moving east. They should weaken with time and it won’t prevent temperatures from getting into the 80s.

Cooler air moves in next week and the overall pattern looks to get more active with opportunities for rain down the road. Monday and Tuesday look dry and perhaps even extending into early Wednesday before some rain or showers develop. There will be another warm front cold front combination with Thursday possibly being another warm day with some showers and thunderstorms.
