Dry Nice Warmer Weekend No Major Weather Systems Next 7 Days
We have arrived at the door step of the weekend. Last night’s upper trough is gone and now we look ahead to a stretch of dry and mostly calm weather that will take us through the weekend and into early next week. We also see the core of this recent arctic air mass moving out to the east and that means it is time for a warm-up. Radars are nice and quiet. We should see a good deal of sunshine today and high temperatures will break above the freezing mark in most areas; highs will be in the low to mid 30s.

The old arctic high is moving offshore the Middle and South Atlantic coasts and that will allow temperatures to warm up in the coming days. Also after what has been an active couple of weeks across the US, things seem to be calming down for most of the nation and at least for now the flow of arctic is cut off from entering the United States. Very little in the way of precipitation is forecast over the next 5 or 6 days.
Low pressure will form south of the Gulf coast over the weekend and early next wee while a cold front moves southeast from Canada and looks to pass through next Tuesday. The system to the south passes well to the south and the cold front that comes through here late Tuesday will have little in the way of precipitation.
This leaves us in a rather good place for the weekend and into Monday. Temperatures will be rising a bit each day and by Sunday we will be going above normal for change. Saturday should be a nice partly to mostly sunny day with high temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Sunday we are going to move temperatures a little higher with sunshine. Highs will reach the low and middle 40s.
Monday we will see temperatures go a little higher with some sunshine and highs will reach the upper 40s and lower 50s. Tuesday sees a cold front that comes through dry. Another cold front will approach Thursday but the shots of colder air coming in behind each front will only trend temperatures back closer to average for this time of year. No major storms are in the cards for the next 7 days.
