Dense Fog Showers Dreary Spring Day
A look at the weather map this morning shows a rather dreary picture with the northeast wind and the marine layer locked up into Northern Virginia. Temperatures are in the low to mid 40s and we have dense fog and some showers moving through on the radar. This weather front has been controlling our weather since Saturday as it continues to move back and forth. Today it will attempt to move forward and head north as the day wears on. How much success it has remains to be seen. 60s could make it back into Southern and Central New Jersey but the may come to a halt around New York City with 50s north and northeast of there into Long Island, Hudson Valley and Connecticut.
You can see the clouds lifting northeastward on the satellite loop this morning and you can also see the weather system behind it now moving into the Middle Mississippi Valley for tomorrow. This will bring more clouds and showers our way for Tuesday as low pressure moves to the east along that frontal boundary. However this system will take everything out to the northeast Tuesday night and weather conditions will genuinely improve on Wednesday.

Wednesday into Thursday night look dry but then another storm system heads our way and that will bring rain Friday into Saturday morning before that moves away to the northeast. A very busy and active weather pattern lies head with rain coming in every 2 to 3 days.
