Colder Tonight & Weekend
High pressure is building in from the west northwest so look for it to be colder tonight. We are going to see temperatures down in the low to mid 20s by Saturday morning. Inland areas will be in the mid to upper teens. There will also be a bit of a wind to deal with for awhile tonight making it feel even colder.
The satellite loop shows clouds to the southwest as weak low pressure moves east. The mositure here is rather limited and this system is forecast to remain weak. Skies overnight will start clear but clouds will be rolling in before morning.
Weather models this afternoon continue to keep the system to the south rather weak. There may the chance for a little light snow over Central New Jersey and possibly over Long Island but outside of a coating I would not expect much and most of the area will see nothing at all. Clouds will likely keep temperatures at best in the low to mid 30s.
Sunday and Monday look like 2 nice days though it will be chilly. Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s and Monday’s highs will be in the upper 30s. The next chance of rain looks to be later Tuesday as a warm front comes up from the southwest. No cold air is forecast to return next week at least through Friday.
