Some light precipitation is showing up on the radars near the coast. There is some lake effect snow going on back in Western Pennsylvania and Western New York. Given the upper air pattern this month lake effect snow has been almost non existent.  Watch for a few light rain showers today. Some inland areas and where there is some elevation could see a passing snow shower.

Tonight skies clear and it will be breezy and cold. By morning lows will be in the 20s to near 30. NYC has not been under 30 since way back last March 5th! Winds will be up enough overnight that temperatures will be relatively uniform.

Wednesday daytime will be nice and sunny but it will be cold. The wind will start to ease a bit as the day wears on. Highs will only be in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Wednesday night into Thursday morning will be cold with lows in the 20s and with light winds and clear skies, teens will show in colder inland areas as well as areas away from warmer urban centers.

Thursday will be a nice sunny day with high pressure to the south. A west wind develops and that will start to warm things up. Highs Thursday will be in the 40s to near 50 degrees.

There are no real changes in the outlook for the weekend. It should be dry into Monday with temperatures rising a bit each day. Friday will be no worse than partly sunny with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s and we should be into the 60s over the weekend. There might be a weak back door front that moves through Saturday and sets up a bit of an onshore flow. That will likely keep temperatures from rising much higher than the 60s. For now we will stay with the idea of partly sunny skies over the weekend. The next cold front arrives late Monday with the chance for showers. Next week with Thanksgiving approaching there are a couple of weather systems in play but nothing major here. There is a chance for rain late Tuesday into Wednesday so it does appear from this early vantage point that Thanksgiving looks to be a dry day.
