Very Cold Week Ahead
Sunday’s snow is over and now we have a very cold week ahead as arctic air arrives late tonight and stays with us pretty much all week though temperatures will modify a little toward the late week period but temperatures all week will be below normal. We had a coating to an inch of snow on Sunday and there still could be some snow showers in a few areas overnight and on Monday morning.
Very Cold Week Tuesday Morning Lows
Satellite shows the arctic front to the west about to move through as the coastal low pushes pushes out to sea.
There should be a fair amount of sunshine on Monday with temperatures eventually settling in the low to mid 20s. Monday night will be very cold with lows in the teens and single digits. Highs Tuesday only in the low to mid 20s. We should reach mid to upper 20s on Wednesday and perhaps upper 20s to lower 30s on Thursday. Temperatures will be below normal all week long.
Naturally attention begins to shift to late Friday and the weekend as all models are showing a rather impressive storm along the east coast though details on specifics are still in question. I will be looking at this in the morning when all the model guidance is out.
