Coastal Flood Warning Long Island New Jersey Shore Wind Advisory Eastern Long Island

We are going into day 2 of dealing with this storm that is sitting off our shoreline by about 250 miles to the southeast of Long Island and east of Atlantic City New Jersey. During the night some dry air at low and mid levels has moved in and skies actually partially cleared out in many areas. This is going to be very limited in terms of scope regarding rain today. Certainly clouds will be backing in westward this morning with rain spreading west over Long Island and Southern New England back to about NYC. West and Northwest of NYC today it will just be clouds around with perhaps a few breaks of sun this morning and just a few passing showers today with temperatures in the 50s where it is raining and low 60s inland.

Radars are still showing bands of raining coming in from the east with a heavier band building off the coast of Southeastern New England and backing westward. Look for that rain to move in from east to west and reaching to about NYC before it falls apart.
