Clouds Light Rain But We Should See Some Sunshine Wednesday
We continue to deal with the gloom and doom conditions across Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England but there is room for hope. Yes there is rain in the radar this morning scattered around from Pennsylvania eastward to just offshore. However to the north we have dry air from Eastern Canada and Northern New England slowly making its way southward. This will eventually push the cloud line southward but during Tuesday we will see lots of clouds with some patchy light rain or drizzle. Highs will be once again just into the 60s.

WEATHER RADAR
During tonight we will see any rain finally disappear and there will be leftover clouds around however the clearing line will move southward. It will be a very cool night with most lows in the mid 40s inland to upper 40s and lower 50s along the coast. Wednesday we should be no worse than partly sunny and areas from Northern New Jersey to Long Island and Southern New England should be mostly sunny. Highs will be in the 60s.
This break from the gloom and doom pattern will be a short one as the frontal boundary is still going to be hanging out offshore in a northeast-southwest orientation from Eastern New England to off the Southeast US coast. The high to the north will begin to slide eastward and we will see moisture start to pivot back westward and northward from off the ocean.
Fortinately this will be different from last week as we do not have any kind of system developing other than a weak low and an inverted trough offshore. This is not going to evolve into any kind of tropical system the way Ophelia did. Thursday we will likely any sunshine give way to increasing clouds with highs in the 60s.
Thursday night and Friday it will be back to clouds and there is the likelihood of some rain, first arriving in South Jersey and Eastern Long Island and then backing its way westward. This looks to be more of a nuisance rain. Otherwise it is a cloudy gloom and doom day with highs in the 60s. This leads us to the weekend which might start out with clouds Saturday but it seems that the frontal boundary should shift eastward and allow for developing sunshine Saturday with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Sunday looks to be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 70s so overall the weekend looks good with Sunday probably a bit better than Saturday.
