Yesterday’s storm system continues to move away to the northeast but the orientation of the clouds suggests that clearing skies may be a bit of a struggle today until everything can shift a little further to the east. Dry air is not that far away but it might take much of the day to get sunshine to develop. Temperatures will likely stay in the 70s as long as there is cloud cover around. Western areas of New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania area likely to see some sun by midday while it may take until of late afternoon for areas in Eastern Connecticut and Long Island with New Jersey somewhere in between.

Regardless rain is not an issue today as it shows up on radars well to the south and east. We should see dry weather the next 2 days with sunshine for both Wednesday and Thursday. Highs will be back into the 80s with comfortable humidity.
It looks like the next chance for showers may come over the weekend as the next cold front approaches. It appears we have the chance for showers and thunderstorms on both weekend days at this point. We will investigate the weekend weather threat a bit deeper later today.
