The closest any rain comes to Northeast Pennsylvania might be Friday with the onshore flow strengthening a bit from the north but even there it has been a tough sell bringing rain this far north so I’m thinking we should be in good shape.
This is as far north as the GFS model brings over running precip at the end of the week before it retreats southward again. Beyond this we transition into what should be another good weekend of weather. The long term pattern remains unchanged and it looks like the dry weather that we ended the summer with now takes us possibly into the first week of October. Temperatures will continue to run above normal for the most part with the occasional day or days where we possibily go much above normal. At least with highs coming down from the north, it puts a lid on just how warm it can get and the nights are much more comfortable going forward.
