Great Summer Weather Moderate Humidity Severe Weather Risk Late Saturday

Beautiful Weather Thursday Friday Very Warm Moderate Humidity

Beautiful Thursday & Friday Very Warm Moderate Humidity

It is going to be difficult to duplicate yesterday but we are certainly going to try. We remain on the edge of a ridge of high pressure to the south and a west northwest flow from Canada. This keeps things reasonably dry, weather systems moving are weak. We can see days with lots of sunshine with minimum or no thunderstorm activity. That is what is on tap today. Tons of sunshine with just a few passing clouds is forecast. Highs will be in the mid 80s to near 90. Temperatures will be a little cooler at the area beaches. No thunderstorms are forecast. It is that simple so enjoy. Radars are silent today.

Tonight is nice and clear with lows in the 60s inland to low 70s in the warmer urban centers. Friday will be sunny and hot with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. The northwest flow will start to kick in and a series of systems will be moving through. The first one Friday night is weak and could trigger a scattered shower or thunderstorm overnight.

Early Summer Beach Weather Continues Into The Weekend

The next two weather fronts are going to be moving through over the weekend. Saturday will be humid with highs in the mid 80s to some lower 90s with a mix of sun and clouds. Saturday will be truly uncomfortable and the front late in the day will produce thunderstorms.

Beautiful Thursday & Friday Very Warm Moderate Humidity

Saturday’s front swings down from the north with a west wind and some solid dynamics so we could see some strong to possibly severe thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center has already indicated a marginal risk of severe weather for late Saturday and we will likely see this go to a slight risk as we get closer. The front brings a shot of dry air from Canada for Sunday and Monday. A second front drops southward Sunday but that will have less to work on. Sunday we will see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 80s and lower humidity. We see no changes in the outlook for next week.

Early Summer Beach Weather Continues Into The Weekend

Monday should be fine for most of the day with sunshine and highs in the 80s with reasonable humidity. While hot humid air will be close by it will be cut off again by another front moving through Monday night with the chance for showers and thunderstorms ahead of it. Tuesday and Wednesday look good with some sunshine both days. It will be very warm but it won’t be that humid with dew points in the lower 60s at worst. We can’t really complain to much with a pattern like this. It will probably turner warmer and more humid on the 4th of July with some sunshine and highs in the 80s to near 90. There will be some scattered thunderstorms late in the day into Thursday night but it is way too early to know where and what kind of impact if any they will have on fireworks shows. Overall it is a solid stretch of summer weather ahead of us and for the most part temperatures will not be excessive and the humidity will be reasonable most of the time.
