Beautiful Spring Day
It is a beautiful spring day across much of the area though there are some clouds moving through from time to time. Temperatures are responding and so far the sea breeze is holding off from working its way inland. We are going to see partly to occasionally mostly sunny skies. However you can see the clouds lining up to the north in response to a back door cold front. That front will be dropping southward tonight and change the profile somewhat for Thursday. Temperatures are headed for the 60s to aorund 70. Other than local sea breeze issues this afternoon, try and spend some time outside when the weather is this good.

Radars don’t show much activity. The arrival of the warmer produced a few sprinkles earlier this morning in a couple of spots but we will be rain free into Thursday night. The back door front doesn’t have much shower activity to speak of so I’m not expecting anything to happen when it pushes on through.

Thursday with the front pushing southward through New Jersey will mean that areas to the north of the front will fight and east wind and then the wind will go south. There will be some clouds around but I also think there will be some sunshine at times Thursday especially inland where temperatures will rise into the 60s. However along the coast and areas just inland of the coast might have a tough time getting out of the 50s. Some immediate coastal areas like Long Island and Coastal Connecticut might see temperatures in the low to mid 50s at best for highs on Thursday afternoon.Rainfall Forecast for Friday
RAINFALL FORECAST FOR FRIDAY
Thursday night and Friday morning a cold front will approach. Warmer air takes over ahead of it with some showers late Thursday night and the first part of Friday. Not much rain is expected. Then the front goes by and weather conditions will improve Friday afternoon. Easter weekend looks dry and cool with some sunshine both Saturday and Sunday but highs will just be in the 50s. Monday could bring widespread rain as strong low pressure heads up into New England.
