Now that yesterday’s cold front is offshore, dry air is building in Central Canada and it will be driving slowly southeastward. This big high will take many days to pass through so we will be seeing plenty of sunshine right through Sunday at least and the nights will be especially nice cool and comfortable.

Low temperatures the next 2 nights will be in the 50s with coastal areas and warmer urban areas a few degrees warmer in the lower 60s.

The days will be nice and sunny with just a few passing clouds from time to time. There is a weak upper air disturbance that will move through Friday but other than some clouds we don’t foresee any issues. Thursday’s highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Friday Saturday and Sunday daytime highs will be in the 70s. No rain is forecast through Monday.
Harvey has regenerated into a Tropical Depression this morning and will likely become a tropical storm tonight and a hurricane as it approaches the Texas coast.
