Beautiful Day Dry Into Early Wednesday Showers Thunderstorms Late Into Thursday
What a beautiful Monday this turned out to be as the satellite shows us sitting in nothing but sunshine all day long. Humidity levels are low. A breeze kicks up every once in awhile. It is certainly one of the best days if not the best day of the spring season; which by the way only has another 12 or so days to go. We will see a nice clear night ahead of us. The radars are nice and quiet and will remain so through Tuesday night. Lows will be in the 50s away from warmer urban settings. Those areas around NYC and Philadelphia will settle in the lower 60s by morning.
Let us move on to Tuesday which should be another day of sunshine but it will be a bit warmer as highs should reach into the 80s just about everewhere. Local sea breezes will take hold at the beaches. It will be another winner for sure.
Early Wednesday a warm front will be going by and that could produce a brief shower Wednesday morning mainly north and west of NYC. Everywhere else will probably just see very warm and more humid conditions with some sunshine. Pop up showers and thunderstorms are possible inland late in the afternoon. Highs will be in the 80 with local sea breezes again at the beaches.
It looks like we will see some showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night into Thursday morning thanks to a cold front moving through. That front hooks back to a powerful storm which extratropical Cristobal. With the storm moving so far to the north in Southern Canada near James Bay, the impact here is minimal other than the front. It should pass offshore and stall out though it looks weak. It doesn’t appear as if we have to worry about any wave development on that front. Clouds and some sun return for Thursday and for Friday. Highs both days will be in a range of 80 to 85.
The weather pattern across the US looks rather benign late this week and this weekend. Another front passes through Friday night and gets far enough offshore so that there are no issues here. Cool high pressure builds in across the Great Lakes and eventually into New England. So it looks good right now for Saturday and Sunday with some sunshine. Highs will be in the mid 70s to lower 80s with warmer temperatures inland and cooler along the coast. Right now it seems the weekend will be rain free.
