Bad hair weather continues for yet another day. I’ve lost track as to when we had a day of low humidity and sunshine as the humidity has been front and center since mid July and the heat has been in play since Saturday. This will be a third day of 90 degree plus highs. The sea breeze isn’t working anymore. The satellite loop shows clouds to the west in response to the next cold front that is approaching. Thunderstorms will likely start popping up this afternoon and there should be some downpours and thunderstorms for some folks going into this evening.

Radars are showing activity to the west but the local radars are quiet for now. Look for them to start showing some action around lunch time for a few folks and more as th afternoon wears on.

The main push of the cold front comes on Wednesday with very warm humid conditions and the likelihood for some downpours and thunderstorms. There is some dry air behind this front but it is nothing to write home about. Hopefully it will bring a slight easing of humidity for Thursday and Friday though that  seems to be questionable at the moment.

Regardless humidity comes back on Saturday as does the increasing chance for downpours over the weekend because the dreaded trough returns to the East for the third time in a month. This will create a southwest flow of moist air. The trough will generate downpours and thunderstorms beginning Saturday and lasting on and off into the first part of next week. This doesn’t seem to be a set up where we washout any particular day but it does mean we will be dodging rain threats once again.

Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
