More Rain Chances Over the Weekend
This Tuesday is going to start out with sunshine but on the satellite and radar loops we are seeing the next storm system that is coming out of the Middle Mississippi Valley and heading slowly eastward, taking a track across the Lower Ohio & Tennessee Valley and eventually emerging off the coast of the Delmarva Peninsula during Wednesday. Clouds will probably arrive later today and there might be a few scattered showers around late this afternoon and evening but they should be scattered in nature. Temperatures today will be mostly in the 70s except cooler along south and east facing shorelines.

Weather systems are generally slowing down in their west to east travel and this poses some issues for Eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New England. Once the low is offshore, it is likely to linger around into at least part of Thursday. As a result look for rain to develop overnight from New Jersey south and then gradually spread into the Hudson Valley, Southern New England and Long Island Wednesday morning.
Offshore low pressure taking longer to get out of the way means that clouds and some rain will linger Wednesday night into Thursday morning along the coast. We could see some gradual improvement from west to east late in the day but it is going to be a bit of a struggle with a slower moving weather system
Wednesday and Thursday high temperatures will be mainly in the 60s though some warm spots to the south could see highs near 70 or so. Friday it seems we could see some sunshine developing through some patchy cloud cover. Friday highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s in most places. We have another storm system for the weekend that will take a track similar to Wednesday’s system. We may be able to squeeze out a dry dayside Saturday but rain will likely come in Saturday evening and right now, as weather systems continue to slow down, Sunday becomes the issue with clouds, rain and and onshore wind. Temperatures over the weekend will likely spend much of their time in the 60s.
