Another Winner Day Sunshine 70s Mothers Day Weather Outlook

We begin another day with lots of sunshine except we can see the outline of low clouds right along the immediate coast this morning from New Jersey to Long Island with fog but this should burn off rather quickly. Mostly sunny skies will be the rule again today. Away from the ocean we will be in the middle 70s to even near 80 in spots well north and west of the coast. 60s to near 70 will be it for coastal areas. Plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures, you really can’t ask for more.

Radars are going to be nice and quiet today and tonight but we will see a pick up in activity late Thursday into Thursday evening as a cold front comes through. This will produce a few showers or a thunderstorm. The storm prediction center keeps a marginal risk for severe weather to our west. Thursday’s highs will be in the 70s to near 80 away from the ocean with clouds and sun until the front arrives. Friday looks nice and dry with sunshine and highs into the 70s. Saturday looks to be a very warm day with a west wind and some sunshine. Showers and thunderstorms will drop down from the north late in the afternoon and at night. Highs Saturday will be in the low to mid 80s away from the ocean with 70s to near 80 along the coast.

Weather models are bringing the front through on Saturday just a little bit faster so this may bode well for some improvement on Sunday Mothers Day though it will probably start off with cloudy skies and some showers.

We could see weather conditions improve from north to south later in the day. It will also be on the cool side north of the frontal boundary with highs just in the 60s to near 70 at best. We will keep our fingers crossed that this trend continues over the coming days.
