WEEKEND WARMER SATURDAY COLDER SUNDAY
QUIET WEATHER NEXT WEEK
This morning temperatures lived up to expectations thanks to clear skies and light winds overnight. We saw morning temperatures hit bottmo this morning in the upper 20s and lower 30s with the exception of the warmer urban areas around NYC & the counties that immediately surround it. Skies are clear as the satellite loop shows this morning with the only clouds up in Northern New England. From these morning lows we should reach the upper 50s & lower 60s this afternoon. Those low temperatures tonight will not be repeated as winds will go west southwest and temperatures will likely not get much lower than the 40s to lower 50s with increasing clouds.
There are no radar issues today or tonight but early Saturday morning before daybreak there could be a few showers passing through. Then we go to clouds with some breaks of sunshine for the middle of the day. Then there could be another passing shower or two late in the day when the cold front arrives. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s which by standards of a warm up is rather sub par. Then it is down into the 30s to lower 40s Sunday morning with gusty winds developing Saturday night and lasting through Sunday.
Sunday will be very chilly as the next cold air mass arrives. We will see sunshine but look for temperatures to be pretty much in the 40s to near 50 or about 10 to 15 degrees below average. Then we are headed down to another round of frosts and freezes Sunday night into Monday morning with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Monday’s highs should be back into the 50s as the rather fast flow continues.
Next week looks quiet with another front moves through on Tuesday with very little weather with it. Temperatures will probably reach into the 60s again before we get cooler for Wednesday and Thursday. It looks like we will see some sunshine each day and we could go all of next week without seeing any rain.
