Very Cool June Pattern Continues In the East All Week Long
With Not Much If Any Rain
We continue to be under the influence of a blocky pattern across the Northern Hemisphere and that is expected to hold all week long. On the satellite loop low pressure is off the coast of New England and continues to rotate in counter clockwise fashion. Also the low itself is not moving and that keeps the Eastern US in a rather chilly flow of air all week long.
Today will be another day where temperatures will have a tough time getting out nof the 60s espeically where we have cloud issues. Southern, Southeastern New England and Long Island will be dealing with this issue so skies there will be cloudy to at best partly sunny with highs in the 60s while inland areas where there will be more sunshine, highs will reach the 70s. We should be breaking into the 80s every day on average.

WEATHER RADAR
Night’s have been especially cool lately and this continue tonight though we will be a little higher than past nights. Lows will be in the 40s inland with low to mid 50s coast and warmer urban areas. Tuesday we have an upper trough and a cold front that will be dropping southward from Southeastern Canada around the backside of that low that is sitting offshore.
Tuesday may wind up being the warmest day of the week with the approaching weak front and upper trough. We should have enough sunshine Tuesday to take highs to the mid 70s along the coast and upper 70s to around 80 inland. We are going to mention the chance for some scattered afternoon and evening showers and possibly a thunderstorm or two but it won’t amount to much and most may wind up seeing little or nothing as far as rain is concerned.
Once the front and trough pass the northwest flow continues and the storm off the New England coast remains in place. This is likely to be the case until Friday and there will be a couple of other spokes rotating around that system. This leaves us in that cool pattern through the end of the week and into the weekend.
Wednesday through Friday to me look all about the same. We will see sunshine and clouds all three days. I don’t think there will be much if anything as far as scattered showers are concerned. Temperatures will continue to run below average. High temperatures each day will be in the 70s with nighttime lows in the 40s inland and low to mid 50s along the coast. The weekend we will see the low move out and another cold front approaching so we will warm a bit Saturday and Sunday and we should see highs back into the 80s. That front might bring some showers and thunderstorms late Sunday or Sunday night as it passes and then another cool high comes down from Canada to start of next week.
