TROPICAL STORM GUILLERMO CONTINUES TO PASS NORTH OF THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS AND WEAKENING

Tropical Storm Guillermo continues to weaken and if you look at the satellite pic this morning it is very ragged looking with the center of circulation exposed. Strong westerly shear continues to rip the system apart. The storm is more than 200 miles north of the island chain and tropical storm conditions are not affecting any part of the islands except for the coastal waters with rough seas.

Look very closely at the satellite picture and you can actually see the exposed low clouds swirl. The track west northwestward continues and the weakening process will also continue. Travelers to Hawaii should not experience any serious problems from this dying tropical storm.
