Sunday Weather Improves Better Weather Later Next Week
Conditions will be a bit better today as the sun will try to break through the clouds. A warm front has moved to the north and now we wait for a cold front to come in from the west. We should see temperatures climb to the mid 70s to lower 80s this afternoon.
GFS MODEL MAY 21, 2018
This front doesn’t have much with it so we don’t expect any kind of widespread thunderstorm activity from this. Once the front moves through dry air comes in for tonight and Monday. We will see skies clear out tonight with lows in the 50s. Monday looks nice and sunny for most of the day though clouds come in during the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s.
EASTERN SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
Radars have calmed down somewhat showing just a few widely scattered showers here and there. The showers with the cold front are more numerous to the north in upstate NY and those are headed into New England.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Tuesday brings the next warm front cold front combination with clouds and the chance for showers and thunderstorms. We will have an onshore flow again developing so temperatures will be in the 60s for the most part. Weather conditions do improve beginning on Wednesday as high pressure builds down from Canada.
GFS THURSDAY MAY 24, 2018
With the tropical connection temporarily breaking down we could have a decent stretch of weather beginning on Wednesday and lasting into at least the start of the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. We will speculate more on this later today.
