Sunday morning we will see a storm developing just east of Long Island. When development of a storm takes place nearby it limits precipitation. The possibility of a burst of snow or a snow squall will come from strong dynamics aloft with a strong upper air storm. This system breaks off from the polar vortex to the north and concentrates energy over us and New England.

Because of how the upper low is structured the surface low is literally pinned underneath it. The moisture area is limited because the system is swinging down from the northwest and not coming up from the south. Still the dynamics are such that a burst of snow could occur Sunday morning between 4am and 9am. It is also during that period that winds will strongly increase.
