We can see the signature on the satellite loop of the coma shaped cloud structure across the Ohio Valley and over New Jersey and Southeastern NY, the radars are rather unimpressive. Add to that the temperatures that are all above freezing and you get light snow mixed with rain and some snow pellets and wet roads so there are no issues today with this at all. Since all the heavy precipitation on the radar is either well south or winds up developing offshore, there should be no serious weather issues tonight. The winter weather advisory for Northwest New Jersey has been cancelled.

Low pressure develops tonight off the Maryland coast and moves east and then northeast so precipitation hooking back westward to the coast is not an issue. Other than spotty light rain or snow tonight it should be relatively quiet. Weather conditions improve on Sunday with clouds giving way to some sunshine and highs reaching into the 40s. Monday looks nice with sunshine most of the day and temperatures should reach into the 50s.
EUROPEAN TEMPERATURE DEPARTURES NEXT 7 DAYS
Looking at the temperature departures for the week ahead it is an up and down week with a shot of cold air that begins to arrive on Tuesday and lasts until midweek before we warm up into the start of next weekend. Beyond that there are some differences that begin to show up with the European bringing another cold high southward but there are some doubts there for the time being. At least there are no storms on the horizon for the work week ahead.
