The latest National Weather Service forecasts for snow are up for the Northeast and Middle Atlantic States. Let me say right off the bat that I completely disagree with the New York Northern New Jersey Long Island Connecticut forecast which I believe as of late this afternoon is underdone. Here is my forecast for the area.

I think amounts could be significantly higher across Long Island and for coastal New Jersey as low pressure develops offshore. These forecasts do not reflect any snow from the weather system for Saturday. I do not see Saturday’s system as a risk now that the European model has caved to the other models and shifted to the east. There is a chance that Eastern Long Island and parts of Southern Coastal New Jersey might see some snow from that Saturday system but we will address that issue on Thursday.
