It is going to be another brutally hot day and we have a weather front approaching late this afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has a marginal the risk of severe weather to slight risk for the much of Eastern Pennsylvania, the northern half of New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, Southern New England, and Long Island. SPC did expand the area slightly this morning in its forecast update.

Radars right now are quiet but you can see the beginnings of thunderstorms in Upstate New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania. I think the main threat time will be after 3 or 4pm for any thunderstorms. We saw much of the severe weather yesterday took place after 7pm and lasted almost until midnight.
There will be some improvement on Monday with slightly less heat and slightly less humidity but temperatures will still make it above 90. We don’t expect to see any thunderstorms on Monday.
