Severe Thunderstorms Developing West Moving Eastward
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch Continues through 8pm this evening across most of our area. Latest radars show strong thunderstorms developing across Central Pennsylvania and we have already seen a f few warnings pop up. The main action will begin after 3pm in Eastern Pennsylvania and between 4pm-8pm everywhere else.
Some of these thunderstorms will produce wind gusts to 60 mph or more, heavy flooding rains, and hail. Flash Flood Watches continue for much of the area as well.

The latest HRRR model would suggest the severe thunderstorms will peak in intensity over Eastern Pennsylvania to New Jersey New York City and the Hudson Valley. They may weaken some as they move east into Connecticut and Long Island but we will watch these storms carefully as they move eastward this afternoon.
