Rainfall Moving Northward
This morning’s satellite and radar both shore rainfall moving northward and actually arcing back northwestward into Northern New Jersey and the Hudson Valley which is a nice little bonus. The rain area is small in coverage and not everyone is getting some but at least some of you are. The drought pattern stranglehold continues for a least a little while longer.
All of this is being caused by a small low pressure area moving up along the coast. You can almost pick out where the low is off the Southern New Jersey coast this morning as it moves northward. Hopefully most areas can squeeze out a quarter to a half inch of rain out of this. There are some embedded heavier bands of rain in the mix.
Once this area moves to the north weather conditions will begin to improve overnight. Temperatures today will remain in the low to mid 50s and drop to the upper 30s and lower 40s tonight. Look for sunshine to return on Wednesday with highs in the 50s. Thursday Friday and the start of Saturday look mild before we begin the flip to a colder weather pattern for next week and beyond. We will wind up seeing showers Saturday night and we may see some showers Sunday into Monday. Elevated areas not that far inland of the coast will see snow out of this as well. We will be talking more about this and the weather for Thanksgiving week over the next few days.
