Rain Passes to the East Improving Weather Conditions Today
Dry Into the Weekend
Low pressure offshore is pushing rain into Southeastern New England today but that is about it as far as rain goes. The low is heading into the Gulf of Maine leaving us with leftover clouds and increasing amounts of sunshine. Temperatures today will be in the 70s in Southern and Southeastern New England and upper 70s and lower 80s from NYC & Philadephia west and south. I’m going to leave the chance in for a few widely scattered showers from NYC west but for most of you, it will be a dry day. Tonight we should see skies slowly clear out with lows in the 60s except for 50s well inland.
Thursday and Friday will be no worse than partly sunny both days. We are looking at highs Thursday reaching the low and middle 80s. Friday will be very warm with hgihs reaching the mid 80s to near 90 degrees in a few spots.
Saturday it seems we will be getting grazed by some rain near the coast for a short time. If this slides out to the east by a bit more we could miss it all together. Otherwise look for clouds Saturday. Highs will be in the upper 70s near the coast and low to mid 80s inland.
Sunday looks no worse than partly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 80s though it will be cooler at the shore. Next week we see opportunities for rain beginning late Monday into Tuesday as a warm front goes by. Also we see signs of the tropics waking up and we will discuss the further later today.
