Rain Moving To New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut Thursday
The big high that brought the chill down yesterday took us down in the 20s in some spots this morning before low clouds and daylight warmed things back up in a hurry. Temperatures are back into the 50s. We do have Rain Moving in to New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, & Connecticut on Thursday and the hope is the rain area holds together to bring a solid inch of rain to the entire region. The rainfall deficit stands on average at around 10 inches and growing so we need at least normal rainfall in order to keep the deficit from getting any larger. At least we are heading into a time of year where storms are more frequent but we have yet to see a big increase in frequency of weather systems moving through.
Here is Meteorologist Brian Fitzgerald with the FiOS1 News Weather Forecast for New Jersey along with his 7 day outlook.
Friday and Saturday look dry and then a cold front comes through Saturday night with colder air behind it for Sunday through Tuesday of next week. it is not an overly cold air mass but temperatures will be normal or a little bit below normal. A few showers are in the cards Saturday night and if they last into Sunday morning there could be a few snow showers in the mix as well
