Long Island Weather Cold Dry Through Friday
From the stand point of the day to day forecast for the rest of the week, the weather on Long Island will remain dry and tranquil. Today is a cold and still rather windy day as temperatures will be struggling to get back to 30 in spite of a good deal of sunshine.
You can see on the satellite loop how clouds are moving from north to south in Eastern Canada. That is where our air is coming from. At least it is snow free and dry and there are no snow issues here through the daytime Friday.

Long Island Weather Cold Dry Radar
Radars remain quiet today and should really remain quiet until Friday when we start to deal with what could be a major winter storm for Long Island and much of the Middle Atlantic States and Northeast Friday night and Saturday. Tonight will be clear and not as cold with lows in the teens and low 20s. It should moderate on Wednesday though we will have more clouds than sunshine. Highs will reach back into the 30s. Thursday and Friday will be a little colder again but not too harsh with less wind issues. Sunshine Thursday with highs in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Friday look for increasing clouds with highs not out of the 20s. Then we see snow developing here during Friday night and continuing over the weekend.
