AT 1100 AM HST…2100 UTC…THE CENTER OF HURRICANE GUILLERMO WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 15.2 NORTH…LONGITUDE 144.1 WEST. GUILLERMO
IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 10 MPH…17 KM/H. A TURN
TOWARD THE NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED TODAY WITH A CONTINUED MOTION
TOWARD THE NORTHWEST EXPECTED ON MONDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 90 MPH…150 KM/H…WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. STEADY WEAKENING IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 45 MILES…75 KM…FROM
THE CENTER…AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 140
MILES…220 KM.

This is going to be a very close shave for Hawaii though this will be at tropical storm strength by the time it gets there.

Meanwhile low pressure has developed in the Northeast Gulf of Mexico off the NW Florida coast. That will heading northeastward to off the SE US coast. It will be something to monitor over the next few days but no imminent development is indicated at this point.
