Humidity Returns Overnight Downpours
After a nice dry day humidity wise for most of the area (except South Jersey & SE Pennsylvania), we are going to see humidity levels come up over the next few days. It won’t be extreme but it will be a bit more uncomfortable over the next 4 days with occasional chances for downpours or thunderstorms. I don’t thinkwe will see anything excessive in terms of rain and as always some areas won’t see much if any rain at all. The first chance comes overnight in the early morning hours until around 8am or so. Areas North and East of New York City will wind up seeing very little in terms of rain. Then we could see a late day thunderstorm in a few spots on Thursday but again scattered and nothing excessive.
Outlook Friday & The Weekend
I’m taking a stand that Friday may be dry with hardly a shower. Then over the weekend an increasing chance for showers late Saturday and especially late Sunday as a cold front approaches and moves through. Early next week will bring a shot of delightfully dry air beginning Monday and carrying us through Wednesday.

Take a look at the dew points forecast for Tuesday. They will be in the 40s with temperatures in the 70s to near 80! Awesome air coming for the last full week of August.
