The HRRR Model Forecast for the next 24 hours is fairly consistent showing rain spreading across the area during the day. You still have time to do some outdoor things especially if you are from New York City north and east as the rain will not arrive until later in the afternoon. You can see the disturbance on the satellite looping lifting moisture up to the northeast.
Local radars will get busier as the day goes on. And it is raining at Pimlico which will create a sloppy race track and an ideal one for Nyquist.
The HRRR Model Forecast for late this afternoon and tonight shows rain everywhere with lesser amounts as you head to the north.

Rain fall amounts will be higher as you go south and east ranging from under a quarter of an inch north and west of New York City & Philadelphia to as much half to three quarters of an inch or so across Central and Southern New Jersey and Central and Eastern Long Island.
With regards to Sunday there will be some showers around thanks to the upper air system being overhead and there is still the threat for more showers or rain Monday night into Tuesday. Weather models are back to developing a second low just offshore and tracking it northward. No genuine improvement is forecast until Wednesday.
