Wind Should Keep Temperatures Higher
No Frost or Freeze Forecast
Sunday night into Monday morning will be quite chilly as cold air will be in play. While the atmosphere will be quite cold for this time of year there are some factors that should prevent any kind of late frost or freeze. My forecast low temperature map is above. It appears to me that you will have to go pretty far north up the Hudson Valley to find temperatures under 32. What will keep temperatures above critical levels will be the wind and possibly some clouds. The wind I think will be the more important factor. If it is breezy overnight with even a persistent 10 mph wind, that will keep temperatures higher. So if you are worried about your plants or your garden, I think you will be okay. However just keep an eye on things over the weekend in case we have to adjust numbers down. I don’t anticipate much change in this initial forecast for Monday morning.
