FLASH FLOOD WATCH CANCELLED FOR S.NJ AND EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA

FLASH FLOOD WATCH CANCELLED FOR S. NJ AND EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA

Radar over the last several hours shows the rain area has weakened considerably. This is so typical in a dry pattern in that reality under performs the models and once again this has happened for the areas above. While there may still be rain around for the night, the heaviest rain has moved out to the east so the threat for flash flooding has diminished.

Overnight look for more showers and perhaps a few downpours but the worst appears to be over with for the areas mentioned above.

radarYou can see the rains offshore are quite heavy and they are heading northeast to Long Island and Southern New England where Flash Flood Watches continue in effect for the overnight. These downpours will produce another 1 to 2 inches of rain overnight.
