The rain from last night is long gone and cooler air has replaced it. It will still mean temperatures today will climb into and in some cases through the 40s. Overall a nice start to your Monday. Skies should be clear to start tonight but you can already see clouds building across the south with regards to the first of 2 weather systems that will be impacting our weather beginning on Tuesday.
Some of this moisture is beginning to build up across Southern radar loops this morning but those closer to home remain fairly quiet today and we don’t expect any issues regarding precipitation here into Tuesday morning.
Tuesday we wills see moisture approach. Temperatures in some areas are going to be borderline cold enough for a few hours of snow or sleet. Im thinking not to make a huge deal of this at this point given the time of day any snow arrives which would be mid to late afternoon and that temperatures aren’t going to be much below the low 30s. Even if it snows for a few hours I should think roads will be fine anyway. The greatest risk for anything that accumulates I think will be in New Jersey and Pennsylvania near and north of route 80 and in NY State north of 287. In Connecticut it would be north of the Merrit Parkway.
