Dry 4th of July Rain Arrives At Night
Cloud issues have developed today as low pressure goes by well to our south and east. I was hoping through last night that the high clouds would not make it too far north. The cloud line shifted north about 50-75 miles which was enough to bring in occasional overcast skies with bright spots rather than a mostly sunny day. North of New York City however it has been partly to mostly sunny. The high clouds should thin out some during this afternoon. At least there is no rain threatening on the radar nor will there be until Monday evening.

The daytime on Monday should be fine. Sunshine will be giving way to arriving clouds but no rain will come in until after sunset in most areas and this certainly should be the case the further north and east you go from New York City. Some rain might appear in western areas of New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania by evening. The hope is that it stays out through the MACY’S FIREWORKS which begins at 9pm.

Monday night into Tuesday we could see a decent shot of rain with the warm front to our south. A good quarter to a half inch is forecast with some areas getting a bit more.
